This was as about as exciting as Derby day got this year..

Chris Cohen - Homeowner

H9 Homeowner, not homo. (Cheers Dom)

I have uploaded photos, mainly for the benefit of Julian (who may now be the sole reader of this blog) but also for any others who have accidentally stumbled across this site and want to see what stuff would be good to steal from my abode.

It was stressful, but we're now in, and all is good in the land of Cohen and Hines. Catch up with you all soon!

Away from Home

N540395178_42704_1698Morning all,

Here is a slightly more detailed, yet belated update, to let you all know what's happening in the life of Cohen. It's been a while since a post on here has been more than a spattering of lines, so I shall try my best to get my head down with this one and provide you all, stalkers and friends alike, with some hard core FACTS about what's going on.

As you may, or may not be aware, Charlie and I put an offer in on a flat which was accepted before we went to Hawaii. We're now waiting on solicitors to argue it out before we can get a moving in date. Sadly, our solicitor is not the politest chap in the world and has a fondness of sarcastic humour. With any luck, he'll poke his eye out with a pen and someone else will step in, but until that day, we have to just go along with what he's saying. There is no onward chain on the flat or on our parts, so it really shouldn't take too much longer, you'd have thought.

The garage flat where we currently reside is now filled with kitchen appliances, tables, chairs, benches, towels, cutlery etc all ready to go into the new place. It's very.. cosy.

Other than that, and the engagement to the greatest girl in the galaxy, things have been ticking along as usual. Back into the swing of things at work and slowly starting to adjust back to GMT. I've also developed a passion for Rumblers with raspberry.

Think that's it for now.. perhaps a quick bullet point run down of key moments from the last week will suffice?

  • Charlie upgraded her phone to a W850i. She wanted a W950 but it didn't have a camera
  • We bought two suede dining chairs and a very nifty fireplace for the flat
  • I learned how to play "In Repair" by John Mayer on the acoustic (big day)
  • Charlie's engagement ring arrived and mine should be here by Tuesday of this week (manly)
  • The Slingbox works and is good
  • Superdrug are alarmed at the sudden increase in sales of Rumblers with Raspberry

Anyway, until next time folks.

Chris

Hello people,

We're sitting at Heathrow now, in the Red Carpet Business Lounge (dontchaknow) as we managed to score uber cheap upgrades to Business Class. We played the whole "We've just got engaged" thing to perfection and thus we have bigger seats, more movies and free internet whilst we wait to board. Genius.

A bunch of irritating American kids have just rolled up next to us though, so it's not all smiles. Seriously, how do they let riff raff like that into these places? Sheesh.

So, we have a 17 hour journey ahead of us before we land in Honolulu. It's going to be boring, but the bigger seats should help the sleeping bum syndrome.

Speak to you all from Hawaii!

It's all true, apparently

Just a very quick update people. I hope you all had sterling New Year celebrations and a great Christmas to boot. Charlie and I have been very busy the last couple of weeks, searching for houses of all things. We've found a place now, had our offer accepted and sorted out the mortgage so it's all go go go.

To make things even more chaotic, we're off to Hawaii next week. Joy!

Can't wait to sit back on Waikiki beach and think about nothing at all.

I'll try and do a more extensive update before I leave!

Ciao
