Greetings fellow internet surfers,
It has been a while once again, although I no longer feel the need to apologise at the start of each of my posts for the gradually increasing period between my updates. This is solely down to the fact that I realised none of you ever do anything to help while away the hours whilst I am supposed to be working, so why should I feel bad at not doing the same for you? Huh? HUH?
Firstly let's start with last week's run down.
I took a week off work to coincide with Charlie's second week off work and together, we planned a week of fun and frolicking for the two of us to partake in.
Monday saw us travel up to see the Sharon Osbourne Show being filmed. This consisted mainly of clapping "celebrities" I'd never heard of and being surrounded by mentally retarded, day release citizens who were hugely entertained with the sitting and the clapping that being an audience member involved. Still, it was a good day and we had fun, which was the main thing.
Tuesday was the day of much pottering. We tidied the house, did odd jobs and chores and generally mooched our way through the day.
Wednesday saw a trip to PowerFiat in Essex to get Fergus serviced and then on to Bluewater for a spot of shopping.
On Thursday we ventured to Cadbury World in Birmingham to fill our faces with chocolate and buy enough of the brown stuff to last us 'til 2012. In reality, it lasted for little longer than a few hours, but our intentions were good. There was also a ride at Cadbury World. It travelled slightly quicker than walking pace and stayed upright at all times. I did not like this ride. The journey back was depressing but all in all it was an intriguing day and one to look back on and giggle at.
On Friday I played footy with Rich... our team won.. this is what happens when Rich and I are on the same team.
At the weekend, Charlie's parents and my parents met for dinner (which Charlie and I cooked) and thankfully there were no awkward silences or rows and a pleasant evening was had by all, much to the relief of Charlie and I. I also had to referee a footy match for ten year olds in the morning (don't ask how or why). It was a good laugh and despite a few instances where the little tykes decided to completely ignore my whistle blowing, I think I did a pretty good job.
Anyways.. Carl is coming over on Wednesday this week and so we shall be entertaining him for a few days which is always nice. It's Charlie's birthday next Wednesday of course and then we're off to see Mr Mayer at the Forum in London the Monday after... big week approaching. It's also Rob's birthday, I believe, on the 16th.. don't think I've forgotten Rob (I probably have and it was the 9th September but hey).
Ooh, before I go, thanks to the aforementioned Mr Mayer, I stumbled across this amusing site MyHeritage.com which allows you to upload a photo and allow the amazing transmogrifying databasical wizzerywoo to tell you which celebrities you look like. Aside for looking 51% like Cliff Richard, the results were as most would expect (well certainly as Adam and Sophie would have expected!)
Can't see it myself.
Me when I'm older?
Anyhoohar. I'm off now to play games and watch TV before Charlie returns from baby sitting. I shall catch you all soon!
